Site Information began on the mid-afternoon of 25 June 2009. For a few months, Windows had been pestering me to install all these little Office add-ins. I ignored them until business struck--not as exciting as opportunity, I know, but it's the truth.

And truth is: it's time to tease fans, torture critics, and tackle the web. I already had a computer, a digital camera, technical writing training, and research skills. And time. Not money, but time in abundance.

Enough to find web hosting fraught with conditions. Online workshops require member registration to find and view documents. I questioned the websites which post books or screenplays for industry review. In either case, I never saw evidence that agents or publishers puruse these places. When Windows once again notified me of a scheduled update, I decided to take a closer look at their web apps.

For my small business as an author, Office Live was so far helpful. Domain registration is cheap and reliable; it included both email and domain privacy. It did not require one to own an MS Office Suite, and a robust community provides all sorts of free advice and plug-ins for web site enhancement, networking, and marketing.

Now my site runs in Office 365. brings my words to the world. I proudly present this little piece of mind.

Technical Thingies is currently set at 980 pixels wide by default. All pages are designed on an Hewlett-Packard w2207h LCD widescreen.

Originally constructed on an HP m7790y multimedia PC with Intel's E6600 Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz CPU. Current programs used to create and maintain this site: Windows 7 Premium, Adobe InDesign CS5.5, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Corel VideoStudio Pro X3, and Office Enterprise 2007. The website itself is assembled in the Office 365 Sharepoint Design Tool.

I use Facebook Connect for commenting. I use Add to Any as a page sharing and bookmark portal.

My website is served remotely, via Office Live Small Business.
